Popular classes fill in minutes and the waiting list has to be fair.
Capacity is enforced with the session locked, so two members pressing Reserve on the last bike get one place and one queue position — never two places. The queue is in arrival order, visible to the person in it, and the front of it takes any freed place automatically.

Recurring classes carry the week; one-off workshops sit beside them with the same fields and one date. A cancellation window you set means a place freed at short notice still has time to go to somebody else.

Small groups, one teacher per room, a parent waiting in the corridor.
Rooms belong to locations, and ClassLoop will not let a class be put in a room at another building. Each teacher signs in and sees only their own timetable, so the person at the piano is not looking at the whole school's schedule.

Martial arts
Belts and levels, with attendance that has to stand up to scrutiny.
Levels are a field on the class, and attendance carries who marked it, when, and every correction since. Grading a student on attendance is defensible because the register has a history rather than a current value.

Set a class from the first week of term to the last and ClassLoop generates exactly those sessions. Attendance by class and by participant exports as CSV for the funder, the awarding body or the annual report.

A household is recognised from the contact address, so a parent booking a second child is one short form rather than a second registration. Each child is their own member record with their own attendance history.

Add a volunteer as a teacher profile immediately and invite them to sign in whenever they are ready — the timetable does not wait for anybody to accept an email. Locations can change per session without disturbing the series.

A handful of weekly classes, and no time to run software.
The smallest plan carries five active classes, two teachers and a public timetable, which is a real business rather than a trial. There is no location picker with one option in it and no settings you have to visit before you can create a class.

Honest limits
When ClassLoop is the wrong answer
Better to say so here than after you have moved your timetable.
If you need to take money at the point of booking. ClassLoop does not charge cards yet. If a class cannot be reserved without payment, wait for paid bookings or take payment separately.
If you sell memberships and class passes. The model is designed so passes and subscriptions can be added, but they are not here today.
If you need one-to-one appointment booking. ClassLoop schedules classes, which are a thing at a fixed time with a capacity. A private lesson booked into a teacher’s free slot is a different product.
If you run a gym with no timetable at all. Door access and casual use are not what this is.
